Why Does This Blog Even Exists

By Evan

There are many blogs out there. You know it, I know it. So why did I have to go make one of my own? Because I’m not like everyone else. Sure, this sounds like something you learn in middle school where people tell you you’re special and individual and all that jazz, but let’s get to the bottom of things here – I have my own take on things and I know people will actually read things that make them think and that make sense.

One of the real reasons I created this blog was to blow through the hype. I really dislike the pandemic people make things out to be. Examples? Hm, digg removing features, Wikipedia possibly shutting down. It’s really uncool when people try to ride the hype train to get traffic. So that’s what I’m about, cutting through the hype, taking things for what they really are and not trying to get people excited or worried for no reason at all. Of course, I’m human (we believe) and I’m liable to make mistakes, and – wait – no, sorry, I take that back, I’m perfect.

Obvious lying aside, I did actually post this to let people know as well as to enter Engtech’s contest, so does that make me a shill or something? ;P
